Pile Hair Figure - Elite Series 1 features Woody's trusty steed, the first issue in a series of miniatures designed to highlight characters who often remain in the shadow of the main heroes. Unlike most of the toys in Andy's and Bonnie's room, Pile Hair never said a word, which makes its inclusion in this collection all the more appreciable for fans attentive to secondary characters.
⭐ Bullseye, the horse that never needed to talk
From the fictional television series Woody's Roundup, Bullseye has accompanied Sheriff Woody since Toy Story 2, without ever resorting to words to express his loyalty and boundless energy. This lack of dialogue, rather rare for a character so present in the saga, forces the animators to use body language to bring him to life, a challenge that Pixar was able to meet with a particular talent, between expressive neighs and postures that say a lot about his state of mind. Seeing him now available as an individual figurine, rather than just an accessory accompanying Woody, underscores how this toy horse has ended up earning his own place in the cast, away from just being a mount. Its spotted coat and recognizable saddle make it an identifiable character at first glance, even without its usual rider by its side.
This Elite Series figure is particularly aimed at collectors who appreciate characters that are less prominent than Woody or Buzz, but just as essential to the coherence of the universe. It naturally complements a shelf already dedicated to the sheriff, forming a coherent duo between rider and mount. This number 1 of the series testifies to a desire to enhance figures sometimes neglected by the more classic ranges of figurines, focused almost exclusively on the most popular characters. It's also a great opportunity to remember that the richness of Toy Story is as much due to its silent supporting roles as to its most talkative leads.
