Alien Rug - Trio in the Funfair's Pincer

Alien Rug - Trio in the Funfair's Pincer takes up the cult scene of the claw, with the entire trio of Aliens, for a Toy Story carpet that immediately speaks to fans of the film. The whole little gang seems frozen in waiting for the famous Grappling Hook. A direct way to install Pizza Planet in the entrance or bathroom. We find everything that makes the character popular: the repetition, the blissful admiration, and this candor that ended up reaching a much wider audience than just children.

The claw scene is arguably one of the most recognizable in Toy Story: the three aliens lined up, hands clasped together, quietly waiting their turn. This carpet takes up the essence of the original scene with the complete trio, in a layout that retains all the legibility of the original scene.

The rug is made of nylon with a non-slip base and a hand-knotted rug technique, like the rest of the Alien collection. An everyday object that slips a little humor Pixar into the entrance of the house.

This is also what explains the longevity of this trio in derivative products: a short scene, but so well written that it continues to inspire variations years later.

This type of scene works because it sums up, in one image, all the touching naivety of the Aliens: they are looking for nothing more than to be chosen. A carpet that reminds us, with each passage, that even secondary characters can become endearing.

It's often this type of detail repeated from one room of the house to another that gives a Toy Story collection its cohesive rather than dispersed side: a carpet at the entrance, a figurine on a piece of furniture, a cushion on the sofa, each one taking up in its own way the same trio so attached to the Grappling Hook.

The complete trio deserves to be found elsewhere in the house, not just on a carpet. Browse our Alien Collection as well as our selection Toy Story Decorations.
